Knipping

Knipping from Noord-Holland province can proudly call itself a successful family business, employing what is already the second generation of executives and over 100 employees. Knipping develops, manufactures and sells dormer windows, window sills, external doors, sliding doors and garden doors: exclusively to the private market.

At first, Quootz proved to be a partner for Knipping which could provide the website with a reliable 3D configurator. Naturally, for Merkato this was no problem whatsoever! Based upon among other things the height and width of the dormer window as well as the measured roof slope, a 3D visualisation of the dormer window is shown. This enables the customers through the website to see for themselves exactly what the dormer window will be like. The design will then be sent to the showroom, where the order is finalised.

Soon it became clear that Merkato could be employed for many more applications within Knipping than only as a 3D configurator for dormer windows. Therefore, our software is currently also being utilised for other products from the product line AND as a much-desired addition for guiding the production process.
