The question
To enable sales organizations in various countries to sell Boon’s complex products in their own language, Boon Edam has been talking to and testing with sales configuration software suppliers for a long time. The experience gained from this process has contributed to the final choice being made for Quootz’s Merkato.
The solution
One of the advantages of Merkato is that, by suggestion of experienced test users of Boon Edam, some adjustments were made in Merkato which not only favors the sales process of Boon Edam, but also benefits future customers. This is an added value from the Quootz organization that contributes to the desired end result that companies have in mind if they want to use a sales configurator.
The variety of products and associated calculation methods of Boon Edam were not a problem for Merkato. The building and maintenance of the models is experienced by the experienced test users as significantly less work than with software in previously performed tests.
