The National Identity Data Service
The National Identity Data Service (RvIG) is an agency of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
RvIG is the authority and director of the secure and reliable use of identity data. Thus, RvIG manages i.a. the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) and is responsible for the technical systems for the storage and exchange of personal data. They publish the civil service numbers, which form the basis for the exchange of that information. And RvIG manages the travel documents of the kingdom.
The basic registration of persons is carried out by the municipalities. RvIG monitors whether the basic registration is carried out qualitatively by the municipality. The Execution Procedures Manual (HUP) describes the procedures for registering persons as a resident of the Basic Registration of Persons (BRP).
Merkato is committed to improvig the accessibility and applicability of the HUP by generating examples based on situational questions that simplify registration. This improves the quality of the BRP.
